Wow, has this break been the most UN-relaxing break ever. It started with gallbladder attacks and having to have my gallbladder out right after Christmas. Everything went really smoothly, and I am REALLY glad I did it before little Swanland got here because I can't imagine trying to take care of a newborn AND myself during those first couple days. The most important thing you need to know if you are going to have your gallbladder removed is DO NOT be around people who will make you laugh. There were multiple times when I would start laughing and could not stop and ended up bawling uncontrollably. It was awful.
We took a family trip to Great Wolf Lodge 5 days after my surgery, we had SOOO much fun! However planning it was our job and I really probably shouldn't have even been there. Both Paul's parents and sister and my parents and siblings came with us. I think everyone had a really great time, I love Kansas City!
About a week ago a close family friend passed away. It has been a hard time for my grandparents, I'm glad my aunt and uncle live so close to them now. The funeral is today at 4:00pm and we were planning on going, but opted to stay home at the last minute because....
Paul lost his job Monday. We have been running around frantically over the last couple of days trying to get everything sorted out. Now comes the dreaded job hunt. Wish us luck! We are going to need it.
OF course there are other little things here and there that aren't really worth mentioning. I don't think I could have handled it any better if all of this had happened over summer break, so I guess I'm glad we got it out of the way(and survived(so far)).
